Park Place Nursing Facility formerly Monroe Nursing Home, originally opened in 1962. The Nursing Home was opened and operated by Kenneth and Jean Murray.
Upon opening the new facility in 1993 the name was changed to Park Place Nursing Facility and has been operated since then with Ken Murray, Jr. as Administrator. At the time it was opened Park Place had a full occupancy of 107 beds. The Administrator, Ken Murray, Jr. has been an integral part of Park Place since college graduation.
In December 2010 the new wing was opened and immediately became a 165 bed skilled Nursing and Rehab facility.
Park Place is a family owned and operated facility whose goal is to meet the needs of those adults who need temporary, transient (following acute injury or illness) or permanent living arrangements.
Our sister facility, Great Oaks, is operated by the Murray family, also, and the Executive Director is Melinda Murray Dally.
Great Oaks provides assisted living for senior adults who do not require skilled nursing care. While residing at Great Oaks, in the event of an acute illness or injury, continuous care may easily be established through the service and care provided at Park Place. Upon recovery and restoration to a prior level of function, the resident may choose to return to Great Oaks and resume assisted living.
It is a privilege to serve the citizens of our community as we meet the needs of our senior adults.
